regardless of what u think about the 49ers, the truth is they are a legit team this year.

It was a good football game. That defense is legit - specifically against the run. No bradshaw is going to hurt our offense. We are under estimating what he actually does for us.

<u>Defense got worked down the stretch but its going to happen.</u> Boley down hurt us alot in covering the backs and TEs. Prince needs to step up.

We had a battle and lost by a TD vs another top team in the league. Your not going to win em all. Just can't let down this week and have to take care of divisional games, especially when its vs Philly, and even though they are most likely done any way - we can be the nail in their coffin while grabbing a divisional game.

Alex Smith is still a young QB whose starting to become a decent football player. Also keep in mind that Walker, V Davis, Crabtree, and BRaylon is a good cast of weapons, not to mention their strength is in their line and running game.

Their defense is a legit and top defense. They got wins vs Cincy, Philly, and Detroit. They've only had one divisional game this year so that weak division argument isn't really applicable in talking about their success this year.

lol u can go be a brat about it all u want but u just tried knocking SF's success because of the division they played in even though its week 10 and they only played one divisional game.

But the bottom line is that they really only drove for 1 TD on us in the second half and it was because V.Davis got free. I haven't gone back and watched it and prob won't be able to til tom but im pretty sure it was Paysinger who completely lost him. The loss of boley killed us on that play.

Then they scored the 2nd TD because Eli threw that INT. Personally I thought it was a horrid play but I caught the end of Dungy <font color="#0000ff">reviewing the play and he said the WR stopped his route</font>. I have no clue what happened but as of right now im putting that as a horrid play by Eli

And you can knock Dixon and Hunter but they are pretty legit as well

As somebody who was saying since day one this year that Philly was overrated, lets not under rate them either. As bad as they are they are still a decent team. And if your still sleeping on Cincy thats fine, but they are a pretty damn good football team.

San Fran is a good team whether you want to admit it or not.

Regardless we settled for FGs, throw a pick that gave them game winning position, couldn't tie the game down the stretch. The best squad out on the field was our offense. Its better then their offense, their defense, and our defense. SF is not that bad and it was on the road. I am not saying the defense wasn't at fualt, but both sides of the ball had its flaws it was a team loss if i've ever saw one before.

these coaches game plan to the talent they play... its like they play for a tie every week.....one week they are in everybody face the next they play soft...whatever...I'm not all that upset about that loss as long as we get the eagles this week ....</P>

and yes NFCC for them is a VERY realistic situation

They are definitly going to get a bye because they do play in a garbage division, they have 8 wins already and have 5 more games vs that **** division

So basically they only need one win to get to the NFCC. Not an unpractical situation at all - but i know i know... Alex Smith sucks so they won't do it even though the key to their offense is that they only need him to not turn it over and throw the ball for 220 yards.

Their built around their defense and run game. Its like the Steelers first superbowl win, except they have alot more receiving weapons

We had 2 or 3 TOs and alot of time, like 330. Completely uncharacteristic. I personally always take shots at Coughlin for being too by the book and while I really still don't agree with the decision (but its impossible to argue with results) have to commend them.

But then after doing that, we still try to have the balanced offensive attack. Way too many runs after we sacked up and aired it out for a 4th and 2 on our own 35.
[/quote]Yes-in hindsight-the only flaw was to run it as much as they did. There was an effective flow in that drive where they were fearing the pass and we gained good ground yards. I think they were trying to set the defense up to bite on a run and open the pass game for the tie. 49'ers defense didn't bite. That being said, we still put points up on a very good defense.

Their dbacks were ball hawking Eli all day---interceptions could of been even higher. Eli did good forgetting about the last play and concentrating on the next play.

[/quote]Definitely. I take back how I criticized Ware the other week for missing a blitz on Eli---Brandon Jacobs got confused yesterday and gave up a hit on Eli.

Not getting TD's in the red zone is killing us.

I just hate when we beat ourselves. It's alot easier to take when we get beat.

We made a good game out of it. The onside kick kind of took the wind out of us.




Also, about Dallas. We play then twice still so if we beat them both times and beat the teams we should we will be in the playoffs for sure.
