i know its br but its a pretty decent article.
its a stupid ****in article. Offenses game plan so that they can get matchups with their WRs on LB. What LBs can cover a small fast WRs. Im going to have to rewatch that.
<u>
But to say he should have his hand in the ground is stupid, Kiwi has been ballin out at LB.</u>
i like kiwi as a linebacker but youre missing the main point of the article.

"It may sound like I'm ripping on Kiwanuka, but my real problem lies with defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.</p>

Fewell
doesn't understand that this big, cumbersome linebacker is not made to
cover in space and is certainly not meant to be anywhere but the line of
scrimmage unless he's in the backfield making a tackle.</p>

Kiwanuka
is a talented football player and I think he did a fantastic job against
the run Sunday night. I just don't see him as a linebacker going
forward, especially in this Cover 2 that the Giants like to run.</p>

Look
for this trend to continue as the season goes on and be on the lookout
for pass-rushing linebackers misplaced in some sort of zone coverage for
the rest of the year."</p>

The young Giant "linebacker" is really a defensive end and belongs on
the line of scrimmage with his hand in the dirt, rushing the
quarterback.</p>I know, the Giants have Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora
and Jason Pierre-Paul, but at least make sure that the guys out there
to cover receivers can actually cover receivers

---

Kiwi may be playing his best football in the NFL this year. Please tell me, how many LBers ever could cover recievers?

I don't here him praising Kiwi for the times he was actually good in coverage, like when they motioned McCoy out and tried to run a slip screen.
Fear the name, appreciate the game

Re: THEE GAME IS vs THE BUFFALO BILLS ON OCT 16th!

This guy....

Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer recently offered a critique of current Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow,
not because of the way Tebow plays the game but because of the way
Tebow expresses his religious beliefs before, during and after every
game. Today Tebow responded.

“If you’re married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife,
is it good enough to only say to your wife, I love her, the day you get
married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and
have the opportunity? And that’s how I feel about my relationship with
Jesus Christ,” Tebow said. “It is the most important thing in my life,
so every opportunity I have to tell him I love him, or I’m given an
opportunity to shout him out on national TV, I’m going to take that
opportunity.”

“I look at it as a relationship I have with him, I want to
give him the honor and glory every time I get the opportunity,” Tebow
said. “And then after I give him the honor and glory I always try to
give my teammates the honor and glory, and that’s how it works. Because
Christ comes first in my life, and then my family, and then my
teammates. I respect Jake’s opinion, and I really appreciate his
compliment of calling me a winner, but I feel like every time I get the
opportunity to give the Lord some praise he is due for it because what
he did for me, and what he did on the cross for all of us. I really
appreciate his opinion and I respect him, but I still will give all the
honor and glory to the Lord because he deserves it.”

It's just not feasible man...there's always going to be at least 1 mismatch on the field.
And Matt is right, there's no such thing as a LB who can effectively cover a WR.

You want different schemes, but it probably wouldnt even matter because we are thin, at least in my opinion. Kiwi moved back to LB out of necessity, and our depth at DE. That's not to say we cant use him there, but we dont need to. It's pretty awesome that if you were to break down our DEs...Osi, Tuck, JPP, and lets say Kiwi....Kiwi is probably the worse of the 4 pass rushers. And he's good, so that's why he's "expendable". That's not the point of this argument or anything, but i was just thinking about that lol</P>
