It's going to happen, it's in the cards.[/quote]B- I felt bad for my electrician last night. Remember that 240 volt heater I was talking about? I decided to not do it myself. You and I both agreed prob #8 or even #10 gauge wire for it.

The manufacturer mislabeled their plate on the rear of the heater at .55 amps. A BIG mistake......about 80 times less amperage.

He wired based on the plate...now has to re-run his lines and increase the disconnect box.

I felt bad, because I had thought that whole job thru for my own purposes, but just assumed he was a professional and would know what to do.

I'm assuming you and I were right ot 6 alum for 50 amps</P>


ps I have a 5000 watt electric heater that i use once in awhile for temp heat.17000 btu 240 volt myelectrician wire that to a 30 Amp breaker with # 10/2 copper wire....</P>
