    I know Clooney is a big time lefty, but this guy not only puts his money where his mouth is, he spends weeks at a time in Africa in terrible conditions on humanitarian missions.</p>


    The guy isn't some pampered actor.     I hope those clownshoes feel better about themselves for dropping all that money to fly thousands of miles away to help out people who have never heard of them, while in the air they passed thousands of American children and families that could use food, shelter, clothing...     So you'd rather them keep all the money to themselves? it's up to them who they want to be charitable towards not you or me, let's be happy they are deciding to give back at all instead of complaining who they are giving back to

    Also you complain about them flying right? well their flights (on their private jets perhaps?) are possible because of American workers...they stop flying..American workers get laid off...their extravagance helps poorer Americans....so in a way they are also being charitable at home as well.
