the problem with our current social welfare systems is they force the poor to become dependent on them, the government gives them fish everyday for dinner....
If the government instead concentrated on teaching them how to fish (aka become productive members of society) it would in the end be more cost effective, it would work better for all involved, the reason they don't do it? the poor vote goes to democrats, it ALWAYS does, because they have convinced the poor that the republicans don't care about them and will take away their fish......but if the democrates really cared, they would be teaching the poor how to fish so that regardless of who was in power....they wouldn't have to worry about where the food was coming from...
