He was an interesting choice when we drafted him, I gotta say.....to me it was like we drafted him like how Al Davis drafted Darrius Heyward-Bey, who chris berman once teased "The boy with more names than receptions"...he actually ended up having a good season when AOK traded for Palmer, but im getting beyond the point lol....point is, they drafted someone on athletic ability, and not being a football player. which SOMETIMES works....but, a 3rd rounder from Troy was kind of a stretch. oh well...i'll eat crow if the guy can string together any kind of decent season.I'm done with hyping up the skill positions. I always thought Barden could be a beast....but apparently coaches disagreed, and he couldnt stay on the field even when given a shot cuz hes so prone to injury.
At the time, I'm sure it was a good pick on paper but to me, it's clear he has not shown anything to see the field. However, I will give him another shot to prove his worth, but I'm not sure how if we have Nicks/Cruz/Randle getting thr majority of the snaps.
JJ had what? 2-3 seasons to prove he can be reliable on the field? Why hasn't he gotten ample time to play? Not sure about that.
Because Cruz overshadowed him. If he was as good as many people claim him to be, he would see more playing time. Why don't you think Barden wasn't an integral part of our offense? Because he's not good. I'm not saying JJ sucks or that wr shouldn't give him a shot, but let's not automatically assume JJ is Cruz pt. 2
