    If you work for a bank, you'll make enough to live, work, and play in manhattan comfortably. But the cost of living is so high, that everything pretty much balances itself out. So, unless you go to work on wall st, then drive home to Indiana where you can buy a house for 20k, you won't feel very well off.

    But as a whole, they get paid fairly well.

    You can live elsewhere, not just Manhattan. We have trains and buses here that get you to the city fairly quickly lol

    Yeah, you can consistently reel in 500K-per after a couple years there, but between rent, taxis, taxes, food, etc. it equals out. Gumby said it best with the Indiana commute, lol.
