I love Peyton, I probably put him down as GOAT in regular season...
but his lack of stepping and dominating the playoffs is serious knock on him
that's a good point. i was so bummed when the broncos couldnt deliver in the playoffs last season. I still can't believe anyone let the ravens win anything. Any of those teams should have beat them. but the broncos was particularly rough. Peyton shoulda had that game in teh bag in the first half.
I'm just sick of hearing about the 2 SB's that Eli supposedly won by himself. I'm a GIANTS fan. Our TEAM won 2 SB's. Our defense was outstanding in both of those runs. They need to be given credit for that accomplishment.
Eli is a nice player but he needs conditions around him to be just right. If not he ends up looking like he did last season.
that's fine, but that's like me saying im sick of hearing about how good Peyton is when he had Wayne, Harrison, Clark, Edge, Garcon, and now Thomas, Decker, and Welker.
Not to mention one of the best OLines for almost a decade
I've been a Giants fan for 46 years. My first playoff was when I was 23 years old. I went through an entire childhood without a playoff game. Guys my age don't have anything to prove as Giants fans. We stuck by our team when they were the laughing stock of the NFL.
Try watching Randy Johnson as your QB and see how long it is before you JUMP SHIP.
We averaged 21 points per game in 2007. Its not terrible. But how good is it really. In 2011 our offense was better, but not that much.
Our defense however held the highest scoring offense in NFL history to 14 points.
They held Dallas and TB under 20.
In 2011 they shut out Atlanta and held Aaron Rodgers to 6 points without the refs help. Not to mention holding Tom Brady under 20 points again.
Those are all time great performances.
regular season is a means to the season that matters.
how was Eli's performance in the post season?
EDIT: and since when are YOU quoting regular season stats to make points?
