    I cant find the most recent to date statistics, but as of 2011, 17%+ of federally funded student loans were being charged off completely as losses. For those who don't know what that means....equate to it walking away from your house because you can no longer afford to pay the mortgage payments.

    Seeing as how these are federally backed school loans, and the government isn't getting paid....youd think they would take a look at how the costs are completely out of ****ing control for people, and change the way tuition works.

    apparently 21.8% of student loans are in default after 3 years. holy ****.

    well sure...but what i meant was how part of your income tax goes toward medicare. it's been that way for over 40 yrs

    we only got about 3" yesterday, but all the new maps here say a minimum of 7" by tmrw afternoon, but anywhere up to 12"
