And I found out that my graduation is in May @ madison square garden. So pumped. It was supposed to be at Citifield but I think people complained that it was way too hot for a summer graduation.

I'm a banker, and earlier this morning my ABM was telling me that my training would be coming here tmrw if the weather was bad, as opposed to the training class he is attending this week. I asked why? And shes like "well....if the weather is bad, this is closer than the training facility..." and im like....oook but if the weather is bad, why would anyone come in? and shes like "Because we have jobs!!" and i laughed right at her....because honestly, do you think I care about this place if the weather is bad??! I'm not providing healthcare....my job is not important to people when there is bad weather. it's so laughable. I'm not putting my life on the line for this toilet....nor do I even want to risk damage to my car. you think this place is going to pay for it if I total my car on the way to work? lolololololNO
Working at the VA I do, it isn't too crazy. The specialty clinics can get nuts, just because they get so backlogged. I mean, doctors don't get paied very well here (at least for doctors). I think they start off in the $150k range. But, especially for a specialist, they can clear a whole lot more on the outside than they can here. What that means is that most of the specialists are part-timers that only come in one or two days a week so they don't sacrifice all the money they can make in a private practice.

I work in one of the primary care clinics. We're pretty much just a regular doctor's office, but just in the hospital. It's absolutely ******ed that we're here today. We're not mission essential. Out of the 40 patients we had scheduled for today, as of now, only 14 are still on the board. I think 2 have made their appointments, the rest have cancelled. I'm sure as the morning rolls on, most of the appointments for the afternoon are going to call and cancel, too.

I'm going to be sitting around all day with my thumb up my *** for nothing, not to mention having to make the 15 mile trip each way in this mess.
