From the crowd shots it seems you and your friend were the only fans at the game.

Yea, the rain took a lot of people out of the seats. There were actually a lot of people underneath the mezzanine & under the grand stand just standing, avoiding the rain... just not in seats

    question:

Why don't they start the draft on a saturday so people can actually watch it without worrying about work, and then do the last parts in the beginning of the week when it's less important??!

Prime time is where the rating are. In other words...it's where the money is.
Same reason they don't have daytime WS games.

I'm going to ignore that comment.
The problem with Yankee stadium is that all the legend boxes are sold mostly to corporations(well, because they are expensive, not because they are sold specifically to them)...and it would appear that they never use the seats, or even give them away. But, I don't see how that's the fault of the fans really...
Meanwhile, sold out game, but on TV the box behind the plate is empty lol

The pragmatics make it impossible to have any more games at night. But Sunday is a ritual for NFL fans. (a ritual that the league has cultivated)
But they move the draft to prime time (the first 2 days) for ratings and money. They don't give a **** about the convenience of fans.

It was designed to be ignored.....sort of.
All that corporate BS with the Yanks. Sox fans (and the ones who go to games) are basically just hard core fans.

lol...dude, im not trying to hear that ****....
Boston tickets are on average much more pricey than Yankee tickets. Trust me, I've looked.
In fact, the next NY/Bos series in NY, you can get bleacher seats for $60 ($40 more than most games), and You can't get a Bleacher ticket to the series in Boston for less than $105....
Fans dont control what the team does with tickets.
