What I Think The Giants Should Do This Offseason And Some Which They Might Do

New York Giants 2013 Free Agents:

    Victor Cruz -Stay
    Osi Umenyiora - Gone
Kenny Phillips - Gone (Im a Fan of Kenny Phillips but I don't believe he will be back with the Giants next season)
    Martellus Bennett - Stay
    Lawrence Tynes -Stay
    Will Beatty - Stay
    Andre Brown - Stay
    Travis Beckum - Gone
    Rocky Benard - Gone
    Kevin Boothe - Stay
    Stevie Brown - Stay
    Will Hill - Stay
    Sean Locklear - Stay
    Chase Blackburn - Gone
Domenik Hixon - Gone (I Think It Will Be Time For Rueben Randle To Take Over #3 Spot WR, Also There Might Some Teams Looking For A Quality WR)
    Kregg Lumpkin - Gone
    Bear Pascoe - Gone
    Keith Rivers - Gone
    Shaun Rogers - Gone
    Ryan Torain - Gone
    Adrian Tracy - Stay

    Brian Witherspoon - Not Sure
    David Carr - Stay
Ramses Barden - Stay (1-Year Deal To Prove Himself + Depth)
Jim Cordle - Not Sure About This One

    Restructures:
Corey Webster, Justin Tuck, Chris Canty. I believe both Tuck & Webster will be back next season but I would restructure both of their deals.

    Cuts:
    David Diehl

    Free Agency:

Sign a DT, DE, CB, LB, TE

    NFL Draft 1st 3 Rounds:

    1st Round: Draft OL
    2nd Round: Draft LB
    3rd Round: Draft CB

Work Ojomo In To The D-Line Rotation Around Traning Camp/Preseason.

Hynoski will stay, he is a restricted free agent in 2014.

Barden has had 3 years to prove himself, I think his time as a Giant is over.

I think I might go with a CB in the first, we are in some serious need back there.

I think we might addres OL in free agency. Volmer maybe?

Restructuring players on the downslide and on the eve of their contracts is a horrible idea as well as a sloppy practice. You're simply moving an inflated cap into future years, while making it more expensive to terminate if the player continues to struggle. The players you'd like to restructure are the ones you have every intention of keeping and not release.

I only know of two players that genuinely shed money, and that was Jacobs and Diehl.

Here's what i would call (where I deviated from the OP is in bold):
    Victor Cruz -Stay
    Osi Umenyiora - Gone
    Kenny Phillips - Stay
    Martellus Bennett - Stay
    Lawrence Tynes -Stay
    Will Beatty - Stay
    Andre Brown - Stay
    Travis Beckum - Gone
    Rocky Benard - Gone
    Kevin Boothe - Gone
    Stevie Brown - Stay
Will Hill - Stay, but permanently converted to nickel CB
    Sean Locklear - Stay
    Chase Blackburn - Gone
    Domenik Hixon - Stay
    Kregg Lumpkin - Gone
Bear Pascoe - Stay, but at damn near veteran minimum
Keith Rivers - Stay, but at a lower pay grade
    Shaun Rogers - Gone
    Ryan Torain - Gone
    Adrian Tracy - Stay
Justin Tryon - Stay (mostly for ST contributions where he's been solid.)
    Brian Witherspoon - Gone
    David Carr - Gone
Ramses Barden - Gone with the freaking wind, just because he looks a little like Plax doesn't make him anything more than Sinorice Moss 2.0. Jernigan is better than this guy.
Jim Cordle - Stay, 1-year vet min deal

    Restructures:
    Canty, Rolle, Rivers

    Cuts:
    David Diehl
    Justin Tuck
    Corey Webster
    Baas

    Free Agency:

Sign a LB. We're set at TE with Bennett, Robinson, and Pascoe who I chose to keep, DE we'll be set at with JPP/Kiwi/Tracy/Ojomo, DT with Canty/Joseph/Kuhn, and CB will be shored up by converting Will Hill, although a late-round pick should be taken for CB depth. I don't want too many FA signings because thats how you end up with overpaid guys like Canty and Rolle...

    NFL Draft 1st 3 Rounds:

    1st Round: Draft OL
    2nd Round: Draft OL
    3rd Round: Draft OL

Work Ojomo In To The D-Line Rotation Around Traning Camp/Preseason.

I also have the feeling this is going to be a bit of a rebuilding year. Not so much due to finding talent, but due to cutting a lot of players and taking their cap hits up-front rather than continuing to restructure and causing more cap hell in the future...
