We need guys who can beat 1v1 matchups, its that simple. This year we had 1 guy (JPP) who was getting double teamed nonstop and that left everyone else in 1v1 matchups. The difference between this year and past years is Tuck and Osi did not win their 1v1 matchups. We need a guy who can do that. If we get really lucky we will find a guy who actually makes it a hard choice to Offensive coordinators deciding which player to double team.
I don't mean pass rush specialist but JPP doesn't get to the QB that quickly. That's all. Wouldn't you want to diversify the skill set along the line?

I see your concern but JPP seems to play his best at the RDE position. We need someone to play LDE across from him like Tuck does on a consistent basis so in theory, someone like Ansah would fit there better than say a Mingo or Damontre Moore (I know he's a top 10 selection but I'm just using an example).
3/25/14 - Updated Mock with 5th round comp pick

    1. Anthony Barr, Defensive End, UCLA
    2. Marcus Martin, Center Guard, USC
    3. Anthony Johnson, Defensive Nostril Tackle, LSU
    4. Marcel Jensen, Offensive End, Fresno State
    5. Wesley Johnson, Offensive Any Guard, Vanderbilt
    5. Aaron Colvin, Defensive Halfback, Oklahoma
    6. Storm Johnson, Guy Who Runs With Football, UCF

Personally I think they need 2 Ends. A strongside end like Ansah and a speed rusher that plays on only passing downs or plays LB. A Mingo type player and Ansah. If the Giants picked Mingo he would probably play LB and Kiwi would play Strongside end. i think this line needs a complete overhaul. As far as im concerned we have 2 lineman JPP and Joesph

I dont see Moore as a top 10 pick. Im surprised how far he has moved . Last year when I brought him up on Twitter I was largely ignored everyone was talking about Porter, Moore was an afterthought. I said Moore was the better prospect and i got ridiculed for it. Same guys are Mocking him in the Top 5 now.
Speaking of Porter he could help out the Giants 2. He is a SOLB that was an edge rusher last season when they were in a 3-4 defense, Versatile player
