I love the TE. He is such a bad*** yet he may have his sights set somewhere else. Should we make him an offer he can't refuse?, or find a replacement? You decide.

I wouldn't be surprised if he signs with the patriots.

I hope we keep him. For that matter I hope he brings his brother...

He outplayed boss and ballard by a lot - the best year boss had was 42 catches and ballard had 38 last year, bennett had 55 in his first year with eli. He had more yards then either of them in there best seasons with the giants in his first year. Eli does have the knack of making players better but Bennett is clearly the best threat at TE we've had since Shockey and a better blocker when the knee is healthy. Reese isn't one for breaking the bank but i think he moves on the black unicorn along with beatty.

Bennett wants to stay, he's offered the team a discount. It's now up to the Giants to not insult him a la Brandon Jacobs.

    This.

Reese did not insult brandon - he offered him what he thought he was worth to big blue. Love the big boy but jerry has to be a business man first and think of paying players like hakeem cruz and jpp. The niners paid a him a tiny bit more and he never moved past 4th on the depth chart, not sure i see the insult there.

given what jacobs has done since he left, whatever he was offered from the giants doesn't appear to be the insult he interpreted it as.
