Woody Johnson, by all accounts, was the first to purchase a ticket for the Tim Tebow bandwagon, but the New York Jets owner has been telling a different story of late.
Former Denver Broncos executive Ted Sundquist, who interviewed with the Jets this month for the team's general manager position, told Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com that Johnson described Tebow as being "forced" on both him and team president Neil Glat.
Johnson reportedly told Sundquist he "jumped on board" with the idea after choosing to trust the football side of the operation."They realized it was divisive and hard on the locker room, and they wanted an exit strategy," Sundquist said, fueling speculation that Tebow is a goner in Florham Park."
