    Bill Parcells

Okay, show your age and let's talk about our very own who's left an indelible mark on the NFL.

Do you think he'll get in on Sunday, and what are your memories of Bill?

Not sure if he'll get in. I loved him when he was here. He didn't take crap from anyone. But I lost some love for him after he left. He really pimped himself out. And that is what may be hurting his HOF chances somewhat.

Are you brain dead? Bill Parcells is Giants football and may be enshrined into the HOF this weekend.

His descendants are scattered throughout the league including our very own HC.

    WTF.

C'mon man, we know you're just looking for material you can use to fap later tonight.

But i'll humor you, he never won without belicheat. He let LT get away with murder, did an ok job with the pats and jets but was mediocre with the cow pokes. He is borderline because of the 2 SB.

I thought that Bill did a good job handling one of the best guys to play the game. Players wanted to play hard for him. thats real art for a head coach. Truth be told, if Al Davis doesn't change Bill's thinking about being HC for another year, after the horrible 1983 season, maybe history would have been totally different. I liked his no BS attitude. He started believing his press clippings as time went on and I think that hurt his capablilties in the game. Overall, I hope he gets in, he deserves it. He took the Jints out of the horrible 70's and ushered them into the elite 80's!

he'll def. get in just not this yr. altho it'd make the most sense bc i believe strahan will be first ballot and make it his first eligible opportunity...i remember reading an article on this subject and the author made a good point, its not a matter of "if" its a matter of "when" with BP...

and he took a franchise that hadnt had success in some time really, and turned it around. I doubt we are at the point we are as a franchise if it werent for BP. he has effects on teams even now with the coaches he's tutored and gone onto success...BB, TC to name two and boy have they been successful...ultimately, he's turned around or set the team up to be turned around for several franchises that the success has continued on...NYG and NE to name two altho the NYJ made it to a AFC CG after he was there, and the Cowboys have enjoyed whatever marginal success they have thanx to a lot of the personnel move BP made.

He's also responsible in large part for the OLB pass rushing specialists we see today. He innovated the game and made quantum leaps in how defenses aligned and attacked. He also helped pave the way for the necessity of having an athletic OT to combat the OLB pressures...football isnt where it is today w/o BP and for me, that shoulda made him a first ballot...but the voters are a lot of the people BP pissed off with his brash no nonsense attitudes he took with reporters (who makeup the voters)...so he'll get in hopefully with Strahan bc it'd be a great thing for the NYG

I have mixed feelings on Parcells.
I think he will get in and I do appreciate what he accomplished and how he was as the Giants HC
But I'm not happy with how he screwed the fans in the end and belittled himself and tarnished his legacy with his actions after he left.

    Strahan will definitely get in.

    Cool

No offense Rosey, but I believe you meant "indelible". Although he is the Big Tuna.
