    LB Zaviar Gooden from mizzou

    http://youtu.be/KynDSo1xzIU

this guy kinda reminds me of jaquian williams in terms of raw athleticism. he could play st right away and work his way into the def.
    project round late 3rd-early 6th

    your thoughts??

I think he's a 2nd round pick to be honest.

The thing that video didn't mention is that he may run sub 4.4 at the combine. And blow up the other drills as well.

He's a slightly more physical version of Zach brown who went mid 2nd last year.

I feel you on that. Some team will fall in love with the athleticism, but if the giants had to pick him, i would say around 4th round-5th roundish

Yeah he has the raw athleticism, but I think LB is a position that requires a certain level of natural instincts. I would rather have a Chase Blackburn able to read the play understand what is going on, and be in position, than a more athletic guy like Gooden out of position. I'm big on JWill as our Will LB next season.

Blackburn doesn't have particularly good instincts. He does however understand the defense.

I really like him. I think I had him in my mock but like slip said I think he is gonna improve his stock. Would be a great weak side addition to compete with Jill and spencer.

we need speedy olbs and an instinctive ilb as the nfc east is starting to become a read option offense other than the cowboys and giants

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah writes Missouri OLB Zavier Gooden has a chance to wow personnel men at the Combine.

"Last spring, NFL scouts timed Gooden at 4.39, and he also posted a 40-inch vertical during his time in the Missouri strength program," Jeremiah wrote. "He is expected to post around 30 reps on the 225-pound bench test." Gooden has been rising up draft boards because of his Senior Bowl showing and that's expected to continue through the Combine.
