Report: Return To Giants For Osi Umenyiora Is "Not Happening"

    http://www.giants101.com/2013/02/22/...not-happening/

Excerpt: "Although the contract of defensive end Osi Umenyiora was voided earlier this month, there had been some light discussion about his possible return to the New York Giants. He wouldn't rule it out, co-owner John Mara wouldn't rule it out and it appeared as if the door was still open.

However, with the NFL Combine now underway and free agency rapidly approaching, it sounds like the sun has officially set on Umenyiora's career as a Giant.

Mike Garafolo of USA Today tweeted early on Friday morning that the buzz around Indianapolis is that Umenyiora's possible return to the Giants is "not happening."

"Thought there was a chance Osi stayed with the Giants. Word here in Indy is that's not happening," Garafolo shared via Twitter." Read more...

good luck to him wherever he goes. He was a great Giant and created many turnovers when he was in his prime. As for now, let another team watch him Sleepwalk through 4 quarters of football. on with the YOUTH MOVEMENT
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

Don't like the way his career ended here but he was a great Giant for a long time. Good luck to wherever he goes.

Osi was a great player for us and i will always respect him for that! but its hard to believe JR or TC would even consider bringing him back!

as many would agree he was a "mild" cancer for a while and for that reason i dont feel he wll don the Giants uniform again!

I don't feel he will ever be a Giant again except for a day when he's ready to hang up the cleats for good. Thanks for all the memories and best wishes in your future endeavors.

the team could never seem to satisfy Osi with money, every time he signed a contract he wanted more money before the contract was finished, he was good in his prime but he turned into a situational rusher who kept getting fooled on outside runs...

This leaves David Diehl as the longest tenured Giant.
