    L S U

    Round 1- Barkevious Mingo
Too great of an athlete to pass up and will excel as a SLB and pass rush specialist.

    Round 2- Kevin Minter
Minter is just a pure football player. He has great instincts and relentlessly pursuits the ball carrier. Perfect guy to man the middle for the next 10 years. FINALLY.

    Round 3- Tyranne Mathiue
Proved the doubters wrong with a great 4.43, has ridiculous ball skills, and a knack for creating turnovers. Could provide an impact in the return game as well.

I like to think of the 2012 Seahawks with this mock draft (Irvin and Wagner). I believe that these are three guys who could instantly turn around this defense and take our team far into the playoffs.

I know many will not like the lack of offensive lineman, but when you have the 31st ranked defense, it's pretty obvious where the problem lies. Besides, Beatty is a great LT and it is pretty well known that Eli plays better when under pressure anyway. A dominant defense will allow Wilson and Brown to control the game and have Eli killing it with the play-action.

I think if the Giants went this direction, I'd become a Jets fan.

Blech! (nothing against the OP personally of course )

I'd rather be an Alabama of the North.

We don't need another slot CB, we need a cover CB for the future when Webby retires. I don't think TT solves any questions at this moment and he could move to S spot in the end like mention in recent weeks. No to the Honey Badger.

mathieu would be moved to safety in the giants system. his ball skills alone are worth the chance considering some of the bums jerry has selected in the past. we also need LB's that can cover.

I could definitely see him playing that safety role that Rolle plays but I, like Deion think that he can play on the outside. Look at Cortland Finnegan, Brent Grimes, and Janoris Jenkins. Those are all sub 5'10 175-190lbs CBs that not just made the NFL, but are also some of the better corners in the league. Like those three, Mathiue is very scrappy but he has elite ball skills and turnover ability that cannot be taught and doesn't come along very often. Some players are just impact football players that, although may not have the desireable size or speed, have those intangibles that make them great football players. Mathiue is case A.

as a pure play maker I think a lot of teams are gonna regret not taking a chance on him. what if he really has turned it around? he is small, no question, but he can flat out go after the ball. he has ed reed like ball skills always around the football which is good in football, lol.

Worth a chance in what round ? I've seen and heard guys in NFN Network combine show during the DB drills saying he is going to be a 3rd round draft pick prospect and they don't see him sliding more than that. I rephrase the question, do you think with the actual needs the Giants have at LB, DT, CB, OL, DE and even TE if Marty doesn't come back that Reese is willing to part ways with a 3 rd round pick for Mathieu ? I don't think so and quite frankly I will be very pi&&ed if he takes a chance on that kid early in the draft .
