So now they wont have to Draft a QB in the First Round. That will mean they will take someone from another position which will push everyting back a pick poss. oh well 19 is 19 no matter who is on the board
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

Alex was going to go SOMEWHERE... this just means that now Arizona is going to draft Geno probably. At the very least, this means that KC is more likely to draft Joeckel, keeping him out of Philly's hands...

SF won this trade by a landslide. The fact Alex Smith has never shown anything until Jim Harbaugh showed up would have scared me personally from pursuing him.

I think he will do okay there. Get this team back to a respectible 8 or 9 wins but just as he had the prob in SF if and when he gets the Chiefs to the playoffs he will then fold like a cheap tent. Who knows mabye the Chiefs will still take Geno Smith in the First Round... Maybe Alex is just a Stop Gap until Geno is ready

You could be right and you can get away with a move like this in the AFCW anyhow. I just look at Harbaugh's track record with QBs - Luck, Smith, and now Kaepernick. I know he is a hated man on this MB but he could arguably be the best developer of QB talent in the world now. Now you are mixing Alex Smith with a HC who underutilizes his RB (LeSean McCoy on the Eagles) and it wouldn't shock me to see Reid's system put Alex Smith in worse situations to turn the ball over.
