    I like Blackburn and don't want to lose him.. even if a MLB is drafted, he won't be the started anyway

    If he can get more elsewhere, he should. We can backfill with equal or better for equal or less money. He needs to fit into our financial plan, not the other way around. If he fits here, great. If he doesn't.........better.
    No one remembers who came in second.

    This may finally force Reese to draft a LB in the 1st round. Sick of this bandaid patch at LB.

    He's started a 6th rounder and has no issues with a UDFA there too. Reese doesn't know LBs exist. Let's just cope with it.

    If Blackburn is on the roster Coughlin will start him no matter who we draft.

    That's a big mistake. He may not be the ideal starter, but he's a great back-up and is definitely a leader. The Giants don't have enough leaders, IMO, and Blackburn is not going to cost them much $$.
