I wouldn't say unbearable. Just adds a mil per year for the last two years. The contract was already bad this doesn't make it THAT much worse

It's hard to tel until FA starts and we see where they are looking. I would not be surprised to see a Diehl announcement today. I wish restructuring wasn't the answer though. As you have pointed out, it just prolongs situations two and three years down the road. I mean look at Eli's CAP hit through the end of his contract.

Baas is not as bad as he's being portrayed. I think he'll have a good season in 2013. Cutting him would have resulted in dead money we don't need.

I agree, Baas get's criticized way more than he should. Is he a top line center? maybe not. But I've seen him play well often and he always plays from snap to whistle!

Are we sure it's a pay cut? They may be paying him the difference between $4M and $1.5M in a bonus that can be prorated for cap purposes over the remainder of the contract term.
