    Not really. More of a Medieval history buff (hence my major/minor combinations being European History/Medieval and Renaissance Studies when I was in college), but since I was once going to school to teach HS history, I've taken a couple classes in Civil War Era history.

    Interesting time period. The Crusades especially. I remember about one short lived 'Kids Crusade', where a bunch of these kids went ahead and actually attempted to get to the Holy Land. Crazy stuff.

    Outside of the factories, you have Medieval Europe. But, then you get to add the sheer violence of the age.
