canty, boley and rolle all played huge roles. as well as the smaller moves like deon grant, weatherford, devin thomas, etc.

Let me break it down for you .The NFL has a salary cap. With this cap its imperative for the team to get as much value they can from each dollar they spend. The more +value u get the better your team will be. Lets look at some of the recent FA contracts the Giants have given out and lets see how that has turned out

1. Antrell Rolle 5 years 37 million
2. Chris Canty 6 years 42 million
3. David Baas 5 years 27.5 million
4. Michael Boley 5 years 25 million

Those are the Name guys. The 4 biggest FA's they have brought in recently. Not 1 of those players has earned the Giants the value for the contract they were given. So why would we want to keep giving out bigger dollar valued deals when the chances of getting positive return is so low
