Some guys just play this game better then others, regardless of anything measurable wise u can put down.. Maybe Mathieu is one of them...
SIAP but the dude said he stopped counting after failing 10 drug tests at LSU... Don't want him.
2016 MOCK DRAFT:
1. Leonard Floyd (Georgia, LB) or Ronnie Stanley (Notre Dame, OT)
2. Tyler Boyd (Pitt, WR)
3. TJ Green (Clemson, FS)
4. Kentrell Brothers (LB, Missouri)
5. Kelvin Taylor (Florida, RB) or Kenyan Drake (Alabama, RB) if still available
6. Tyrone Holmes (Montana, DE) or De'Runnya Wilson (MSU, WR)
Richard Mullaney (Alabama, WR)
Mathieu was never a man corner. He wasn't even a corner at all. He was a rover in the LSU system which is a hybrid LB/safety position. It is also a position that does not line up in the same spots or have the same responsibility every play, making it very difficult to avoid by opposing QBs. His job was to undercut routes, play zone, blitz, contain......in other words, you never knew where he was going to be.
It is not a good comparison.
The Steve Brown example is a good 1 tho as nobody threw away from his side.
