19 Top Prospects to Attend Upcoming NFL Draft

From the Giants Daily Blitz Blog in case you haven't seen it already.

So who should we get if this is our list to pick from? I say Barkevious Mingo.

Time to get out the No. 1 jerseys and make sure the suits are tailored. The NFL Draft attendees list is in. At least 19 top prospects are scheduled to attend the annual selection show beginning April 25 at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan.

This is according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who released the names this morning:

PHOTOS: RELIVE GIANTS DRAFT DAY MOMENTS

    Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
    Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
    EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State
    Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
    Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State

    Jonathan Cooper, G, North Carolina
    Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
    Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
    Ezekial Ansah, DE, BYU
    Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas

    DJ Fluker, OT, Alabama
    Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
    Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
    Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
    Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

    Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
    Margus Hunt, DE, SMU
    Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
    Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

A record 26 players attended last year’s draft, which also included the most by one school with BCS National Champion Alabama sending five. The Giants hold eight total picks in the upcoming draft, beginning with the 19th overall selection.

Feel free to delete if at all useless. Just want to know who everyone here thinks we should get IF these were our choices. I say Barkevious Mingo.

Rhodes if I have to pick one.

Well, these really aren't our choices. Theoretically, 18 of those guys are off the board when we pick. In reality, other picks might creep in allowing someone who shouldn't be there at 19 to drop to us.
    Do not feed the trolls.

Well if any of these guys were available I'd say Luke Joeckel without a doubt.

But since that won't happen, I'd say you're realistically looking at none of those guys. Either they go before we pick (Rhodes, Ansah, etc ...) or we wouldn't pick them (any of the QBs).

Our first pick most likely will be something like Desmond Trufant (CB), Damontre Moore (DE) or Alex Okafor (DE) in my mind.

P.S. - Mingo is a tweener who is projected to play OLB in a 3-4. He definitely doesn't have the size for a 4-3 DE.

I'd like to see that too.

Werner and JPP bookends would be sick.

I agree, but with hunt, Other than his age I'm not sure why his hype & "upside" aren't higher.....
As JPP/ansah, not much football experience, flashes at time but very raw, & he's bigger, faster and stronger....

    6'8 277....4.6 40....38 reps on the bench....omg!

Some teams going to fall in love & grab him in the 1st, I understand the draft invite...

Do you think there could be a possible QB run prior to our pick at 19 resulting in someone falling that we expected not be there similar to when we got Prince? I am hoping it happens and Ansah falls but I honestly think that it is not going to happen with him. I think Rhodes and Ansah will be gone when we pick but someone has a chance to there that we thought would definitely be gone by our pick.
