If the Giants kept Phillip Rivers....

....would we have won 2 Superbowls since 2004? Would the team have transformed itself from a run first offense to a vertical passing offense? Would the team have been constructed the same way? Would Eli have had the same success in San Diego? Would Rivers have been more dangerous under KG?

Just something for the board to discuss on a dead Giants' news day.

There are so many hypotheticals, it's hard to give a straight yes or no answer.
I thought we had something special!!!

Eli>Rivers though and winning two championships is beyond difficult.

Lol I love the lack of enthusiasm for a 'just for fun' type of question. I'm going to actually play and say that we would not have any titles with Rivers but may have gone to a more pass happy a bit sooner. I know the counter arguments to both those statements but that's still my take.

Before Rivers got Norved over he was absolutely lighting it up, so it's certainly possible that the Giants could have won at least one title... I'm not sure if it'd have been the same one, though.

You have it completely backwards...Rivers was lighting it up BECAUSE of offensive genius Norv Turner

    See 2007-2010

Rivers was "lighting it up" because he played in an Air Coryell offense

    It's that simple

At no point has he been a better QB than Eli

This concept is more beat to death than a Cruz thread.

Jesus Christ, why does every thread of this ilk have to go down this road? No-one has suggested that Rivers is better than Eli.
