JaMarcus Russell Receiving 'Significant' NFL Interest

JaMarcus Russell has lost 50 pounds and is now down to 265, his exact weight when he was the first overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Russell is receiving "significant" interest from more than one team, according to a source.

Russell would like to sign with a team where he can learn behind a respected leader at quarterback.

Russell also is "more than open" to signing with a team in the CFL.

    I highly doubt that.

I hope he's never given the opportunity to play in the league again.

Because he's already shown who he is.

The Raiders wound up giving him $30 million+ and all they got in return was ~4000 yards, 18 touchdowns and 23 interceptions over 3 seasons. Never mind his weight issues...

    He's fleeced enough people.

Yeah well its not like hes going to get anywhere close to that again, plus hes not that bad of a person in comparison to some other the other players currently in the NFL.

Although it would be funny if the Raiders signed him again and gave him more guaranteed money . . . . .

He just displayed a general sense of not giving a **** when he was there. Most busts at least try to get better. JaMarcus just got fatter.

Wasn't he great in college though? That's too bad.
