    It really isn't, but rookies under today's CBA aren't gong to get more money than allocated so they fight for more of a signing bonus or perhaps guaranteed money.

    But seriously the giants can just franchise him next offseason. So it makes sense for him to secure a deal now
    Football has been very, very good to us.
    Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    They can, probably wouldn't, but it's an issue Cruz has to take into account and his best option is a long term deal now.
