I don't doubt the SD owners are difficult. Not just the Mannings and Rivers, but VJ and LT agree as well. I just feel like you shouldn't be able to use family legacy or draft position to circumvent the system. If Eli had 5th round talent they would have told him to kick rocks. It just came off as a spoiled kid operating above the law. I didn't like it, but that's just me. I guess if you have the leverage then you might as well use it.

    I couldn't agree more.
I like Eli as a man. but that was not his best moment.
He wasn't as bad as Elway though with the Colts. He was downright nasty there.

The reason I don't see it as spoiled is because he is doing what's best for his career. Perhaps Eli could have gone about it in a different way.

    Let's go.

You're agreeing with pure babble. In 2009 Rivers had 28 TDs and 9 Int and QBR of 104.4 in 2010 he had 30 TDs and 13 Int and QBR of 101.8. In 2012 without VJ and with an aging Gates and an awful Oline he had 26 TDs and 15 Int and a QBR of 88.6 and a 64% completion rate. It was his second lowest QBR since becoming a starter.

Play out your rookie deal and move on, though it's hard to argue with the end result.

It takes plenty of folks to ruin lives.
Unfortunately, I've seen it up close.

I think it's easier said than done, especially if you're not in his position.

    Let's go.
