    Coach Pope discusses TE's

Sorry if this was posted already as the article was written yesterday. Unlike our LB corp, I'm very intrigued by our TE's...

yeah, even tho we lose Bennett, I'm pretty happy with the TE unit. I like Robinsons future. Bear is a solid player who can fill the void at 2 diff positions, and Myers is apparently this pass catching machine. Def. a lot to be intrigued about.

I can't help but think that our success at the TE position is due in large part to Coach Pope. It would be nice to get some stability at that position.

no doubt Rosie....Pope is a key coach for the NYG..

it would be nice to have a solid two TE depth for a 5 or 6 years in a row. Pascoe, although limited in his skill set, has at least been there on the field since he came to the team.....

Gotta love Coach Pope one of the greatest TE coaches of all time, plus he gave my daughters gum at training camp a few years ago.

Agreed....every year the guy works miracles.

Did the same for mine in 2008. Told her it "was Super Bowl gum" as he was handing it to her. Nice man, helluva coach.

This the kind of article that fires me up and unusual in the off season. It has evaluation and commentary on all 4 TE's and we do seem to have a nice blend of complimentary skills. Pope is the right guy for this job.............as usual. PS, I didn't realize that Pope is a string of metaphors and clichés. "Tallest tree in the forest" "Coming from the land of the believers" etc.

Was listening to Sirius last year and forgot who was on but they said he is the best TE coach in the business. They where talking about Bennett and that if there was a coach that could get him to play better it was him.
