Maybe not gronk but if ballard comes back from his injury he will be be better then hernandez. Hernandez supposedly had a lot of skills but last year he did nothing. Ballard was incredible. All Hernandez did was play running back once.

Hernandez only played ten games last year, and was hobbled with injuries all year. He was, physically speaking, one of the most imposing TEs in the NFL. If you think that Ballard won't be a clear step down from Hernandez, then you need to re-watch some Pats games.

I could believe this, but Ballard is STILL injured, hardly helps the patriots to have him not even practising yet.

Wait... what? An ACL injury still causing problems after 18 months? If that's the case, methinks Ballard is done in the NFL... Shame too, he may not have been a Bavaro, but he did have some really good flashes for us...

This, Jesus. Ballard is solid but he isn't in the same area code as Hernandez.

Ballard is a blocking TE.. The dude ran a 5.0 40 before the injury.. Replacing gronk no the thug with him is a huge downgrade
