Tom Coughlin On Hakeem Nicks: "He Really Needs To Get Out There"

    http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2...out_there.html

Excerpt: "Here's how the Q&A went down with Tom Coughlin today regarding Hakeem Nicks, who did a few team reps but was largely limited with the groin tightness.

    Q: Just a precaution?

    A: "I hope so."

Q: Are you concerned that Nicks is being a little too cautious? He seems to be really worried about making it through camp and staying healthy.

A: "I don't know that, that's not what he tells me. We just want him out there competing and practicing. The guy has not practiced, but he really needs to get out there. We'll have to see to the extent that we have an issue here." Read more...

See this is the problem with Hakeem Nicks (The Only Problem as I see it) HE CANT STAY HEALTHY!!!!!!! What good is a guy that you can't rely on week in and week out. For Gods Sake they haven't even put pads on yet and he is nicked up. Groin Injuries aren't serious but take it from someone who has had his fair share of pulled Groin Muscles. They hurt and there is only 1 cure for them REST REST REST. A pulled groin will last the entire season because even though it feels ok , it just rears it's ugly head again after you start making football moves. Yes you can play through it but Rest is the only way to get rid of it. Problem is there isn't enough weeks in football to let it heal properly

    Peace

At some point, he has to get on the field and if I were him, with Randle making a splash daily I'd be a little concerned.
