    Official Offseason Injury Thread

This is pretty ridiculous. Look how many ACL tears as well.

All these players are done for the 2013-2014 season already:

LB Victor Butler (NO) - ACL
    OL J.D. Walton (DEN)
DE Melvin Ingram (SD) - ACL
    DE Tyrone Crawford (DAL)
    K Connor Barth (TB)
DE Greg Scruggs (SEA) - ACL
    LB Keenan Robinson (WAS)
DB Aaron Berry (NYJ) - ACL
LB Jonas Mouton (SD) - ACL
WR Jeremy Maclin (PHI) - ACL
    TE Dennis Pitta (BAL)
OL Dan Koppen (DEN) - ACL
WR Armon Binns (MIA) - ACL
    DE Turk McBride (CHI)
LB Jason Phillips (PHI) - ACL
LB Darius Fleming (SF) - ACL
    DT Brandon McKinney (IND)
CB Chris Culliver (SF) - ACL
WR Danario Alexander (SD) - ACL
WR Arrelious Benn (PHI) - ACL
LT Bryan Bulaga (GB) - ACL
    DE Kenyon Coleman (NO)
WR Joseph Morgan (NO) - ACL

Career Ending Injuries: WR Ryan Swope (ARI), OL Dan Koppen (DEN) - ACL - considering retirement

    Potential Season Ending Injuries:

    DE Adam Carriker (WAS)
    WR Percy Harvin (SEA)
    WR Michael Crabtree (SF)
    OL Ryan Jensen (BAL)

I hope to God I don't see any of our players on there.

    Please support.

The Ryan Swope story is really unfortunate if you haven't heard about it

I played softball on field turf for the first time last week. I must say the surface is a pleasure to play on. The traction is "too" good.
The first thing that came to my mind is how much it would suck if my foot got stuck and body wanted to go in another direction. My knee would surely snap and not only because I am approching 50. Dont know how many of those injuries occured on FT fields though.

Yeah they have FT at Don Bosco Prep. I know what you're saying about the traction and how it could be too good. Once your foot is planted its gonna stick.

tough break but seemingly the right choice. I know in my local HS they are setting baselines for kids. # concuussions during your HS years and you are out of contact sports. Dont know if this is a just a local thing or if it becoming the norm. The med reports may even follow them to college..

Good, it has to be done. Attitudes towards the injury need to change.

15 torn ACLs so far and counting. Eek. Added Danario Alexander, Arrelious Benn, and Bryan Bulaga.

Please football gods just stop now. Don't you have enough sacrifices already?!

wow sad. Career most likely over before it even started. Most teams even after this season Is over would be reluctant to sign him. He would be one hit away from a possibly severe injury and most teams won't want to take that risk
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!
