No, it wont. But watching the Red Sox completely collapse the past couple of years has been entertaining.

One hitter over .300. No one near 100 RBI's. No pitcher with as much as 14 wins. No hitter or pitcher near the top in any statistical catagory.

And the best record in baseball.

Ridiculous the Yankees have stayed in this. Winning of 6 out of 10 shouldnt allow u to make up 2 games in a WC race. Only 1 game back but 2 in the loss column which isnt good. I think anything less then 11-4 these last 15 games they dont get in. That would mean Tampa would have to go 11 - 6 for a playoff game. If the Yankees make the playoffs it would be a miracle with all these injuries. This franchise is so screwed going forward it would be great if they could steal another year of playoffs

yeah but realistically, say they "backed-into" the playoffs...would they get out of the DS? My goodness, detroit, bloston, even the rays are all undesirable match-ups.

it would depend on the pitching. the offense has been very good ever since we got most of our guys back and traded for soriano.... if somehow CC miraculously returns to form along with kuroda pitching like he did earlier in the year... then you never know... nova has been great for the most part.

it's unlikely but if everything clicked at the right time the yanks could make a run.
