Yeah Smith and Moore rotating at DE would be really nice to see. Two quick pass rushing specialist type DE's who could rack up some nice sack numbers. I still think your boy Donald would be a really nice addition in the 2nd if he is available. Dude is a monster!
S/O to Flip Empty for the sig
I really think Donald goes RD1 when said and done. I'm gonna do my top hopeful draft again really soon now that many underclassmen have made there decisons.. I'd still find it hard pressed for anyone better to fall to us in RD2 then donald. His pass rush ability is about as good as i've seen in some time from the interior of the dline.
This is my mock, now knowing most of the underclassmen that are declaring.. Obviously this changes things some, as alot of guys we were unsure if they would elect to come out or go back to school. Giants picking 12th overall.. No 7th rd pick because of Jon Beason aquisition.
1). CJ Mosley ILB/OLB Alabama- Right now, i'm going with the safe pick in Mosley. I've changed from Mike Evans because of how many WR's have declared. WR is way deeper then LB this yr.. Mosley would be a huge boost to our defense and a LB core then needs a heavy dose of talent.. If we resign Beason, we could start Mosley at WLB with Beason at MLB, making a formidable duo in the LB core.. Mosley can defend the pass really well and also is solid in supporting the run. Hes versatile enough to play inside and out..
2). Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh- If Donald is there in the 2nd for us, we better pounce. Adding this inside pass rusher along with Mosley would give are defense a huge boost. A core of JPP, Prince, Mosley, Donald, and Big Hank, and W.Hill, has the makings of a elite defense in the future...
3).Troy Niklas TE Notre Dame- I think he should of returned to ND for another yr of seasoning, but i certainly woulden't mind getting this big, talented, handsy TE in the 3rd rd.. He has the size to become a elite blocker and the hands to be huge in the pass game, and especially the redzone.. Eli would form a great repoire with Niklas, i believe..
4).Andre Williams RB Boston College- A Coughlin/Reese type draft pick here. Williams plays the style that Coughlin and Co really love. Smash mouth, with the abiity to break tackles and pile up tough yards.. Not much in the pass game though.. But hopefully David Wilson can grow into taht 3rd down back.
5).Cody Hoffman WR Byu- If Hoffman is here, i love the pick.. Hes a good sized possesion WR, with very good hands, and number 1 type upside..Kinda has a game similar to that of soon to be Ex-Giant Hakeem nicks..
6).Dakota Dozier G Furman- Solid 6th rd pick. Dozier will bring depth to the interior of our oline and possibly more down the line..
Prince Rolle Hill McBride
Mosley Beason Rivers
JPP Hankins Donald Moore
This would be how i'd see our defense stacking up next yr with my draft.. Thats a solid defense right there..
Was looking at 2007's draft, and didn't quite realize how many total studs were in that draft. Look at some of these names that were in that draft.
Those are just first rders. We got Aaron Ross, in case you didn't know.
1 of the Draftbreakdown guys jon dove did a 2nd round mock draft has us taking Jace Amaro and Aaron Donald.Kinda like yours better with Niklas in the 3rd. I do like Amaro a lot though.

It seems like our pro personnel department has found more castoff gems then Reese has in the mid to late rounds of the draft.
