I always assumed that Omaha meant hurry. As in hurry up the play clock is almost gone. Never thought it could mean anything else but hurry. Interesting!
Oh the other item directed to the OP. I've watched this team consistently be late with the snap; get delay penalties; eli signaling for the sideline to give him the play> That was going on last Sunday. Eli has to wait. He waits for Mr. Offensive coordinator to get his job done. Just one more way that this team shoots itself in the foot constantly. It never fails to amaze me that the Giants always do things the hard way and a way that never takes advantage of opportunities that appear. Just love to beat your head against the wall, over and over and over again. Jeez
That's why if Eli has the reigns we would be in better shape. No more waiting for OC to complicate the scheme or shotgun draw on obvious occasions and no more clock issues. Plus, it simplifies the offense so everyone is on the same page.
I noticed you have not addressed the point of my post tho, just the 1 aspect of it. Do you not agree with the overall point? The "Omaha" thing was just 1 example of a few in the making of my point.
So...what does Omaha mean again?
ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo
Giants are 1st team in NFL history to lose first 2 games of season despite leading by 10 or more points in 4th quarter of each game (ELIAS).
if eli uses the omaha omaha as the clocks about to run down to signal to the OL the next cadence is the snap cadence, then, omaha is used to do both simply because the clocks running down. he's stating omaha omaha bc the play clocks running down, and he's signaling to the OL as u say YA what the snap cadence is going to be (after the last omaha). The OL doesnt look at the game clock thats eli's responsibility, so, it serves both purposes.
if i'm wrong could u pls explain? bc thats the way I see it and I believe i have a solid understanding of it.
i also believe that i know at least 1 play check. "east gogo" or "west gogo" signals screen to the wr who is either east or west...so funny some of the terms used. i saw a poster mention salad as one and yes i remember that as well i believe he used that in sb 46.
Just want to see this:
"You tried your best Kevin, I'll take it from here"
what ever Eli is saying it aint working. Pick some new words already...
maybe that will help the offense...
"Measure Twice......Cut Once"
You couldn't be more full of **** if you were break dancing in a Port-a-Potty.......Kruunch
