    Cowboys Sign Marvin Austin

"The Cowboys are struggling to keep healthy defensive linemen on the field, so they turned to a guy who has struggled to stay healthy and on a field.

The team announced they signed defensive tackle Marvin Austin."

Seems like a depth move and he'll probably back up Hatch and Nevis.

I love the "so they turned to a guy who has struggled to stay healthy and on a field." part of the quote!

    Good luck!

Yeah. I think Gant's biggest misconception with his assumption is that Austin was called in to 'bolster the line'. He's probably going to back up Nevis, who is Hatcher's back-up.

The Cowboys have made a ton of roster moves for the DL this year and they've let go of guys very quickly if it doesn't pan out. Austin is just a body at this point.

No, I said the COWBOYS signed Marvin Austin. Not the Giants.

Hopefully he will serve you guys well I think he has potential and was surprised when they cut him
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

If he doesn't pan out in this scheme, with Marinelli, I think he may not get any more shots.

I've heard several times that he just wasn't all that into football, which no one can fix but himself. Can you confirm this?

It's just really strange that he was let go after only two years. Despite injuries, he was a second round pick and I'm surprised the Giants gave up on him. Something else had to be the matter.
