Kerry Collins had a pretty good career. Dave Brown was much worse as a Giant.

Elvis Patterson was nicknamed "Toast" but really wasn't that bad.

Tynes was a very good clutch kicker, why would he be on any list.

Luke wasn't the worst left tackle I've seen....if you catch my drift.

Those were the dog days for safeties around here.
JR fumbled that one I believe. Kenny Phillips had lingering "knee issues" throughout camp be we chose to keep an overabundance at WR and made no moves to bolster ourselves at safety. As it turned out Phillips played little if at all leading to his micro surgery. That left us with CC and Rouse and led to the signing of Rolle. The signing of Rolle proved once again that when you are desperate, the agents will know it and you will overpay for free agents. At least Rolle has played like a star which is more than we can say for Baas (another desperation move) and Canty.
No one remembers who came in second.

this thread would not be complete without frank walker

king of personal foul penalties at the worst possible time

though he was good for a spectacular int every once in a while

Are you thinking Matt Dodge instead? I know Desean returned a punt on him.

Good lord if you think Kerry Collins is the worst QB you've ever seen play, you are SPOILED!

Kerry was pretty damned good, the Giants went to the Super Bowl with him, and had a field day over the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. Unfortunately the trouncing in that Super Bowl tarnished him.

And we had a parade of tragedy before Kerry all the way back to Phil Simms getting cut. Dave Brown and Kent Graham were truly mediocre and sometimes bad. Danny Kannel was in over his head.

Then if you go back to Simms' early days he was always getting injured and Parcells chose to start Jeff Rutledge over him. Lots of terrible there.

In the modern era, the Giants can be proud of YA Tittle, Fran Tarkenton, Phil Simms, and Eli Manning as franchise QBs. I'd put Kerry Collins at the head of the next class.
