Yeah, I've always been an Eli supporter, but he truly does need a pretty good line for protection. I just don't see any "for sure" franchise QB's in this draft. Colts were very fortunate in getting Luck, and they actually may have tanked some games to make sure they got him.

I would decline that offer because the 2015 NFL draft will not only have a better QB class than the one coming up but it would also make more sense for us to grab the future franchise QB when Eli only has one year left on his deal. Eli would have tons of motivation to give us a fantastic 2015 NFL season and he could either be resigned to a short deal to further mentor (also start unless his bad play emerges) our future QB or he could move on to another team and we thank him for everything he has done. Mariota, Petty, even the possibility of Famous Jameis...Nassib on the other hand will make an excellent 2nd/3rd string QB for the rest of his career.

Luck not looking too good lately
Maybe he was a flash in the pan like Carson Palmer or Andy Dalton or Fitzpatrick
Sometimes the league figures these guys out

Maybe it has to do with the lost of Reggie Wayne? Also the O-Line which wasn't that good is dealing with injuries...

Even with a good Oline, Eli was still inconsistent and made dumb mistakes, so please put that argument to rest. Way too many people are labeling Eli untouchable because of the SB wins, as if no other QB had a chance in hell of winning those games if they were in his place. The past is the past, and he's still not worth the money he gets paid. Would it be a risk to trade him? Of course, but Eli is a million miles from being irreplaceable. Its not that hard to find another QB with his skill set. He gets paid like a top 5 QB, but he isn't, and he never has been. Why is that so hard to understand?

Or the lack of a running game. Their offense basically starts and ends with Luck. Actually, their whole team does, as their defense is pitiful.

Yup, Andrew Luck is tied for 1st in rushing TDs on the Colts & 75 yards from being the leader in rushing on the team. He's the main reason the Colts have the 3rd best record in the AFC. Props to him...
