What can we do to get Barr?

He's probably the Number 1B player in this draft but may fall a few slots due to the need for QBs. Would you give up our 1st and 2nd to get this guy? It's not like Reese would select a good player with the second round pick so we wouldn't be losing much there.

Barr would immediately fill two positions of need, SLB and Pass Rush Specialist, and would be a true impact player from the get-go. No more of this "project" bull ****. So whatdya say? Is it worth it to give up our second for him?

Fix the oline in FA with either Mack, Asamoah, or both. With the addition of a good olineman or two in free agency, our offense is almost complete minus a good TE. We need some impact defensive players like all of the good teams in the NFL seem to have.

Trade up to #3 at best. There won't be this run on QBs in the top 5.

And because Steve Smith, Terrell Thomas, Linval Joseph and Rueben Randle have been such horrible second round value.

Terrell Thomas has never been a good player, average CB#2 at best. Rueben Randle has 56 catches in 29 career games and I guess you forgot about Clint Sintim and Marvin Austin who were flat out BUSTS.

If we're high enough to draft Barr, I rather trade down and pick up the extra 2nd round draft pick.

Shazier, Khalil Mack should be available is the upper mid round where we could still get them

It's Randle's second year, one of which he was shelved for most of his rookie year. Thomas lead the Giants in tackles on two occasions as a slot corner. Sintim was a horrible pick, but Austin was just unfortunate. Anyone who watched him in college would never have called it a poor choice in the second round.

would be nice but unlikely with our cap situation. not sure where its at next year but i know its not good now. if they decide to go into rebuild mode and trade/cut a bunch of players that would be a great route to take but as of right now we have to look at the draft for our line needs because we dont know if the money will be there to sign those guys. i do like that route though

Why does everyone want to overpay OL in FA? Baas was a swing and miss. These guys will want at least Baas money, maybe more. WE need the money for resigning guys like Joseph and Prince and Beason.
