Thread: Best way to approach Rounds 1-3 of this draft

  1. #11
In my mocks, I keep ending up taking Arthur Lynch in the 4th as my TE. Essentially entirely an in-line blocker, he'd pair up well with Myers to create that Gronk/Hernandez pairing...

Well, now that we don't have Gilbride as the OC, we might use the TE correctly. Of course there is always Eli and his high throws...

    does that make Myers.. Gronk?

I think JR will exercise the team option on Myers and cut him.

whatever plays out in the first 3 rounds...we need 3 starters for 2014 not 2015.

    1.Anthony Barr or Khalil Mack-OLB
    2. OG
    3. TE

Was I the only one that wanted Joseph Fauria last year? I wanted us to draft him in the 6th or 7th rounds. He went undrafted.

He had 7 tds this year splitting time with pettigrew.

No, he'd be the hernandez in that equation (at least with regards to play style)... not as big, better receiver than blocker. Gronk is just a beefy blocker who learned how to receive well, kinda like Bennett...

Tough to say where they will be when things get going but Steen from Alabama and Jackson form Miss St. are two guards I'd be THRILLED to get that may be available 3rd round or later. I think Steen is going to really increase his value after the combine though.
    2014 MOCK DRAFT:
    1. CJ Mosley (Alabama, LB)
    2. Odell Beckham Sr. (LSU, WR)
    3. Tre Mason (Auburn, RB)
    4. Anthony Steen (Alabama, OG)

I've got a amazing idea, BPA all the way through........we need guys that can contribute week 1 & that's not what the draft is all about.....that's what FA is for......I'd spend majority of what FA $$$ there is on the Oline & BPA draft 1-7 end of story
