I agree with Mayock. There is not a single player I would want more in this year draft than Dareus.[/quote]

I think there are 5 elite prospects.

    Bowers
    Fairley
    Dareus
    AJ Green
    Peterson

And the next group, Von Miller, Aldon Smith, Robert Quinn, and Amukamara is not far behind.

Will be interesting to see what we do if either Aldon Smith or Quinn are on the board at 19.....Quinn is a top 5 talent & i think if Aldon Smith stayed in school he couldve easily been a top 5-10 pick in 2012....

I think hes a super sleeper, and i mentioned that awhile ago, and i love his versatility, but to have em over guys like Denuta Williams is crazy! I woulden't even have Gilcrist on my safety list.. I can't believe he dosen't have Joe Lefeged on there over him... Lefeged is a heck of a safety prospect, and is a Safety, not a possible CB, who played safety in the past, or can help safety in a pinch...

I totally don't agree with Jimmy Smith being under Aaron Williams, but i have definetly not been on the brandon Harris train, so that dosen't surprise me there... Theres actually a Ton more guys i totally dissagre with...I don't put mayock on super pedestal like some on here, but i still like em, and i'm surprised at how many things i totally dissagree with this yr(so far).. I am glad hes got Ijalana on his OT list, as i think he'll eventually be a possible LT in the league, but sherrod 5th? No way, hes the best Tackle in this class, in my opinion....

Glad to see Daniel Thomas get some love, i've been on him since the first wk of the yr... I would have Powell at 5 over Jaquizz....

I'm not sure I'd classify Fairley as 'Elite'. He is when he's on, and plays, but he isn't always on, and doesn't always play. That to me is the hallmark of an Elite player: They are ALWAYS on. Suh never took games or plays off, Adrian Peterson doesn't have games where he just doesn't feel like it.

As I look at it, to be a Very Good player, you have to have either tremendous physical gifts or tremendous desire/work ethic. Look at Plax and AP. Plax had rare physical gifts, but very common work eithic, where as Pierce had very common physical abilities, but incredible desire/work ethic.

Elite players have both rare physical abilities, and the work ethic to make full use of them, all the time.

Fairley reminds me a lot of Haynesworth, and that's not entirely a good thing.

I think he would be behind that second group, he just doesnt really have an elite skill set. Hes a solid player and gives 100% effort every play, hes just not that great of an athlete.

Re: A look at the 2011 NFL draft

juice you must be using the list he had earlier in the year. at the end of the year Mayok had Thomas as his #1 ranked safety.

AT DE he didnt even end up having Dunlap on the top 5.
