    ROSS CLEARED TO PRACTICE

    ROSS CLEARED TO PRACTICE

"New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross passed the battery of
tests for a head injury and has been cleared to practice.

    Head
coach Tom Coughlin said Ross will practice. Running back
D.J. Ware did not pass the protocol of tests for a concussion,
according to Coughlin. Ware has had concussions in the past and this doesn't
bode well for his availability for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

    If
Ware is not cleared to play, rookie Da'Rel Scott could be
active as the third running back.

    Coughlin said running back
Ahmad Bradshaw will sit out today's practice. Bradshaw
typically sits out the first two practices each week as part of his routine to
rest his foot. Coughlin also said linebacker Mark Herzlich
    (ankle) will not practice."

Oh I hope I don't smell a mistake by Scott if he gets a small shot, but good news on Ross

The first two words I thought of re: Scott: "blocking" and "fumbling"

The odds of a draw being called have significantly decreased.

Ross is a decent player who gets a lot of flack on these boards. I would like to see him press Jones or Nelson at the line and get physical with them.

I've seen a lot of sub-standard play from him, but a) I am glad he's ok, and b) I'd rather have more options than less, especially since I'm not sold on the prince just yet.</P>
