Aaron Lynch is the definition of underachiever. His name should have been next to Clowney's as "Who should be the first DE off the board" maybe even "who's you number 1 overall pick Clowney, Bortles, Manziel, or Lynch?" The guy has been blessed by the Gods with freakish ability but he has such a bad motor and is so undisciplined that he just doesn't seem to be interested 80% of the game. if he ever put in the effort he would be a force in the NFL.

I agree we could turn that kid into something special in my mock I have him for our 4th rd pick

Lynch has ability but he seems to be real lazy and unmotivated. I would take a shot in the fifth and see if he could be turned around

Wouldn't be a bad pickup in the 4th rd. Just out of curiosity whats with the position names you use?

Kareem Martin reminds me of Tuck and I think that should be the guy we get to replace him

Not sure why he reminds you of Tuck. He seems like the anti-Tuck.

    Pros:

    - Extreme length. 6-foot-5, 249 pounds with 34-inch arms.

    - Explosion off the line is tremendous and the potential for disruption is there on every play.

    - Flexibility at the waist and hips is elite. Can really produce nice bend.

    - Great functional strength for his light weight. Can push offensive tackles around.

    Cons:

    - Huge character concerns. Left Notre Dame because he didn't "fit in" and admitted that he played with an ego. Apparently had some of the same issues at South Florida. Motivation was an issue.

    - Motor was an issue. Gives up a bit too easily.

    - Dearth of pass rush moves. Has one outside bull-rush and one half-swim move. Doesn't create plays.

    - Uninterested playing the run.

    Larry Webster, greater potential!

Honestly, I'd be willing to take him based on his freshman year alone. That explosion is too appealing. He was also incredibly strong playing as an undersized 5T. But now, he wants to be an undersized 43 DE. He's obviously a larger gamble, but he has far more natural ability to work with than Kareem Martin. It's all about his interview process now.
