    Mets' 90 Game Countdown

Those of you who watch the Mets know the coach is projecting 90 wins this year. So far, the Mets are winning 4-2 in their first game. Wanna start a countdown thread?

hell yeah, life long mets fan. I really had no choice, I was born the night they won the world series in '86. That being said, I don't think we win 90 games. I think the pitching is good and the farm system is excellent. I just don't think we're there yet with the bats. Plus I think it's gonna be tough to get 90 wins with the Braves and the Nats in our division. I'm guessing they'll be at the top.

Wasn't their BP a weak spot last season?
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

It was atrocious in 2012, blew something like 16 leads before the All Star break that year.

It wasn't much better last year.

Tonight a different problem then opening night. No offense. Proving they are similar to past seasons finding a variety of ways to lose

Well not a great start on their way to 90. Blew a 3-0. 4-2 and 5-4 lead. Gee couldn't hold two of the leads. The last lead being in the top of the ninth with two outs and Parnell blowing the save letting the Nats tie it. The in the tenth giving up a Sac fly to lose the lead and then a 3 run shot off our shaky BP to put the game out of reach. Mets got two meaningless runs in bottom of 10th but in the end they still need 90 wins. How's that for a count down....
