any man that says a woman should have a c section

needs to be punched in the face 20 or so times.

    now on to the mets

I said it last years and Ill say it again

Granderson is nothing more than an Ike Davis at this point in his carrer

and yet they gave him 60M so he can continue to deteriorate until he hits 37

    FREAKIN 37!

My dad still laughs when he sees Granderson in Mets blue and orage (dads a 2nd gen yankee fan, so he knows a bit about Granderson)

Ill root for the Mets even as a Yankee fan, but I dont see them finishing at .500+ this season. The next couple of years are huge for that organization though. They got a bunch of talented young prospects coming up. And Harvey returning in 2015.
ZERO quality wins the last 2 seasons. Major changes are needed.

Yea maybe I spoke to soon earlier in this thread. If they didn't blow that 5-1 lead vs Miami they'd be 15-10 now. Still 14-11 is not bad. They seem to be a scrappy team. Harvey certainly would of helped toward those possible 90 wins if he didn't get injured last year and miss this whole season. But they seem to be winning every series which is a good thing. Let's see if they can keep up that trend with this upcoming Philly series. Be nice to put a little more distance between them and us
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

this is a .500 team IMO. Which is a slight improvement

IMO, even if you add Harvey, its still not WC 2 capable

Which shows just how inept this team is

4 years in and the mets are still a .500 or below team

hey your right.. Just when you thought the 15-11 Mets looked good and were going places and winning a few series 2/3'or 3/4. They crash land as usual. After getting blown out the first two games vs the Rockies tonight they did It a little different.. They blew a 6-0 lead ( similar to the 5-1 lead they blew vs Miami ) by giving Colorado an 8 run inning. And if that wasn't bad enough they came back and took a 10-9 lead in the ninth only to give up a walk off 2 run homer in the bottom to lose 11-10..smh...

So now they are back to normal at or around .500 as usual at 15-14

One win vs Colorado. And now for the third series in a row they have blown a big lead. This one late. Going to 8th inning with 3-0 lead they gave up 3 in eight and 1 in ninth. Bullpen blows another one

Harsh... I dream of the day when they approach the end of the season close to around .500. It takes them (quite) a few years to rebuild. I still have hope for this year.
