And if some team really wanted Nassib wouldn't they have already reached out to the Giants about acquiring him? If the Giants were going to try to make a trade and give up the 12th pick on top of it they would have to put up a player with some proven value as part of the deal like Cruz, JPP, Prince, etc.
I believe John Mara said he wanted to see Nassib get plenty of time this pre-season.

Why do we even have Nassib? Is he being groomed for anything?

I dont think the Giants need to move from that 12th pick at all really.. but if that 12th pick could get us a 15-20 in the first rd and an additional 2nd round pick because Nassib was thrown in the mix, hey why not?
Remember, Nassib was picked in the fourth round, so it's doubtful that any team would give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him.

Plus, if the Giants move down to the 15-20 range they probably miss out on the chance to get a player that would fall to them at 12. And by trading away Nassib the Giants create another need for the draft, which is QB. They would have to draft another QB to replace Nassib.

He was drafted and is being groomed to be Eli's primary backup. Who knows if that actually happens but that is the plan.

Yes, he did not say anything about his not paying in 2013, as he did regarding Jernigan.

No, Mara didn't specifically mention Nassib's lack of playing time in 2013.

Then again, if Nassib had actually played in 2013 then Mara wouldn't need to comment about Nassib getting plenty of playing time this pre-season to see what they have with him. If Nassib had actually played in 2013 it's doubtful that Mara would even have to comment about the amount of playing time he gets this pre-season because they would already have a fairly good idea about what they have with him.

I guess so man.. I wouldnt think a back qb is a position of need considering that Painter was resigned. Nassib is a waste of a roster position while some other team who doesnt have a franchise qb might be willing to make a move for him and the 12th pick to go along with it.

who knows.. I wouldnt be surprised if Nassib gets traded during the draft maybe it wont be for a move in the 1st round, might be for a move up in the 2nd or 3rd

Im thinking if were to move down in the first it would be to find a way to move up in the 2nd or 3rd
