    Leave it to Jerry to make expanding the playoffs all about the Cowboys. If he focused on making the Cowboys better than an 8-8 team that would give Dallas a better chance of getting into the playoffs.
    One of these teams is not like the others

    I would actually begin to respect JJ if he stopped like this and just admitted he has lost touch, isnt an effective GM and hires someone else to take over the duties. He is rapidly becoming the new Al Davis.

    Well he kind of has. Stephen Jones handles the cap for the most part. Will McClay handled the draft. Jerry still has a say, but he's delegated much more than people realize.

    I don't think Jones' hinders too many decisions, but it doesn't take many to undo good progress. That said, I think his biggest fault is that he makes his presence felt. He interacts too much with daily activities. Not that he actually has much say, but his looming is annoying... Kind of like if your boss sat down behind you at your desk all day but never really did anything to derail you but make you feel uncomfortable.
