The Giants, until recently, weren't known for their offensive prowess, but we are trying to compare very different eras. Tiki was great for the Giants, but the offenses he was in, and the defenses they played against don't compare to the earlier years of the NFL. If you watch the 86 season, especially games later in the season, what you will see is an offense that physically dominated any defense they played. The offensive line could maul anyone put in front of them, and was the key to that SB run. Everyone on the field knew they were going to run, but the defense could do nothing to stop it.
For me, I would give the best offensive weapon to them, the offensive line from 86, not an individual skill position.
My goal had been to win a championship, work toward the Hall of Fame, have my jersey retired by the team and I`d go in as a lifelong New York Giant, but I`m now resigned to the fact that this won`t happen. -- Michael Strahan, just when you think you're down...
Jim Brown and its not even close................... to Gayle Sayers as #2..........at QB I think Rodger Staubach was far and away the best ever......he still holds the all-time percentage completion avg though he came from a dead ball era stacked against passing
At WR I liked Homer Jones.......and I'm not being a "Homer" pardon the pun..........Homer was devastating, avg about 22yd per catch
He is but one man
Tiki had 10000 yds to Morris 5000 and Tiki Avg almost a yd more per carry both played 8-10 seasons

I thought they wanted the "best"
Giants best offensive player ever was Fran Tarkenton and its not even close......he won games on a bad team almost single-handedly.........all he had to throw to was Bob Tucker who was a much better receiver than Bavaro
Sorry to those who never got to see Tarkenton play......watch some You Tube clips

Joe Morris had a far better O-Line IMO and a better team, with a veteran QB and a hall of fame coach. And you let me know who holds the NY Giants rushing records.....
I tend to play devil's advocate -- there isn't a greater irritation to me than mob-like opinions without consideration toward an alternative or, at the very least, an effort to approach a significant topic with an unpopular perspective. - Josh Kirkendall
